However a caricature of a virtue would be a commentary on it, and it would perhaps not even be a virtue at all in the end. Which is fine for a sin, since a caricature of that is a moral lesson. However the Seven Heavenly Virtues are about avoiding temptations, so being dedicated to one in particular is harder to actively show without falling into caricature. It is easy with sins because you can depict someone engaging in them constantly. The point of a theme is to set something apart. Which is why it is a problem for theming. The good does not need to set themselves apart from their brothers and sisters But getting that theme across in play is going to be tougher, since they are mostly generic goodness and pushing too hard on depicting a single one above others gets weird. "Kindness" is a healer, "Charity" is a buffer, "Patience" is an unflappable Face, "Humility" is the hero who dresses and acts like a hireling and doesn't mind it, maybe we super stretch and "Chastity" is the world's first Mesmerist not using it to be a perve, and so on. So basically, it is easy enough to kinda-sorta link them. There are gods or Empyreal Lords that can pull off stuff like fertility and rest easily, and you could even do it for a powerful mortal ruler by depicting their kingdom and style of rule based around it, but for an adventurer or other individual? "Wealth" is easier to work into a game than "Charity" as a main attribute that doesn't disrupt thing, but it kind of just makes you an Abadarian or Kalistocrat, and gets a little fuzzy in relation to greed. Even these are kind of hard to use for heroes, though. Perhaps to deal with this Golarions version of them are the Seven Virtues of Rule, which were the basis of Thassilon before being corrupted into the Seven Deadly Sins. It is also hard since most PF/D&D style worlds are polytheistic, and it is hard to say Temperance is an outright "Heavenly Virtue" when you have a God of Impulsive Drunken Heroism. It is not only hard to pull of several of the Heavenly Virtues this way, but it can feel like a caricature or even mockery of a good thing. You aren't just charitable, you are so actively destitute you won't even carry a treasure chest for someone else. You aren't just temperate, you reject utility substances like potions and alchemical items. You aren't just chaste, you never touch anyone and sleep on the far end of camp. So when they do do it, it usually goes to an extreme like the Monk Vows. the Incarnation of Humility is off helping people "without hope, without witness, without reward." Honestly, you could meet these folks and not even realize they were anything but generically good people. The Incarnation of Pride builds a golden castle shaped like his head. the Incarnation of Chastity isn't sleeping around. The Incarnation of Lust is a seducer whose lair is a constant orgy. the Incarnation of Temperance practices moderation and eats a healthy diet. The Incarnation of Gluttony can be depicted surrounded by expensive foods and constantly eating. The hard part of the Seven Heavenly Virtues is that it is hard to build an entire theme around single one.
